The spin-offs of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute) IGTP) Biointaxis and Time is Brain have received the Seal of Excellence, the seal of excellence, awarded by the European Commission. The two companies derived from IGTP had applied for funding from the Horizon 2020 program and the distinction values them, placing them in a better position to qualify for funds from other funding bodies.

This European recognition is a quality distinction awarded to project proposals submitted in Horizon 2020, the EU’s research and innovation funding program, to help these proposals find alternative funding. This distinguishes projects that were deemed worthy of funding but did not get it due to budgetary limits, recognizing the value of the proposal and helping other funding agencies take advantage of the Horizon 2020 assessment process.
